Microsoft Fabric: one platform for your data & analytics

Microsoft Fabric brings your data tools together in one cloud-based SaaS platform.

Data engineering, data science, data warehousing, real-time analytics and Power BI all work from the same data foundation: OneLake.
That means less moving data between systems, fewer disconnected tools and a much clearer path from raw data to useful insight.

Microsoft Fabric brings together:

  • Data Factory
  • Synapse Data Engineering
  • Synapse Data Science
  • Synapse Data Warehouse
  • Synapse Real-Time Analytics
  • Power BI
  • Data Activator

What does this mean for your business?

Microsoft Fabric expertise,
from day one

ACA has been working with Microsoft Fabric since its Public Preview.

As a Microsoft Solution Partner specialized in Azure, Data & AI, we followed the platform from preview to general availability in close collaboration with Microsoft’s partner team.

We help companies turn Fabric into a production-ready data platform, connected to their existing Microsoft environment and built around real business use cases.

About transfo energy
Transfo.energy

We helped enable real-time processing and active management of smart energy solutions for the city of Hasselt. Instead of looking back at what happened, teams can act on energy data as it comes in.

Microsoft Fabric - FAQ

We already use Power BI. What would Fabric add?

Power BI gives you the reporting and visualization layer. Fabric brings it together with the data engineering and warehousing capabilities underneath it, using OneLake as a shared data foundation.

As a result, there is less manual data handling and more consistent reporting across your organization.

How long before we see usable reporting from a Fabric implementation?

That depends on how much of your data estate is already in Azure. For customers with an existing Synapse or Power BI setup, we typically get a first working reporting layer live within weeks, then build out from there.

How do you keep reporting reliable across teams?

By creating one governed data foundation instead of letting every report solve the same problem separately. With Fabric and OneLake, data definitions and access rules can be managed centrally, helping finance, operations and other teams work from the same numbers.

We haven’t chosen Microsoft Fabric yet. Can ACA Group still help?

Absolutely. But implementation might not be your first step.

If you’re still comparing platforms or figuring out whether Fabric fits your data strategy, start with our webinar below. It will help you understand where Fabric adds value and where it might not.

How does ACA Group work with our existing data environment?

We start with what you already have. Rather than replacing your existing Microsoft setup, we look at how Fabric can connect, consolidate and extend it. That’s how we’ve approached implementations for organizations including Transfo.energy, MobilityPlus and Energie.be.
