Meetup #8 @ Hasselt
Join us for the next edition of the Data Mesh Belgium Meetup! This time, we're welcoming the community to the ACA Group office in Hasselt for an evening of knowledge sharing, practical insights and networking with fellow data professionals.
Whether you're already implementing Data Mesh principles or still exploring how data products could work in your organization, this meetup is the perfect opportunity to learn from real-world experiences and connect with others.
What to expect:
- Data products as AI guardrails: why control can't rely on a human approving the final output, and how data products, ownership and data contracts fill that gap.
- Computational governance: how to move from slow, siloed federated governance to policies and guardrails embedded in your platform.
- Networking: food, drinks and plenty of time to swap experiences with fellow data professionals.

Agenda
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 - ACA Group Hasselt
Two talks, one recurring question: how do you keep data and AI under control without slowing everyone down?
Corné Potgieter (Sparkle) opens with data products and data contracts as guardrails for AI. After the break, Gaëlle Seret and Axel Mercier show how federated governance becomes computational governance once you treat it as a product, with policies and self-service guardrails built into the platform.
We wrap up with networking, so bring your questions and your own data mesh stories.
