Databricks Tech Lead

Within our Data Business Unit, we are seeing a rapidly growing demand for advanced Lakehouse solutions. We aren't just looking for an engineer; we are looking for a pioneer. Someone to lay the technical foundations, gather a team of specialists, and act as the primary face of Databricks for our clients.

Your role at ACA

  • Shaping the Competence Center: You define the best practices, standards, and architectural principles we apply to Databricks projects.

  • Team Development: You will build and grow a team of Data Engineers, ensuring they are equipped to manage the platform independently through active knowledge transfer.

  • Strategic Design: You design and maintain scalable data pipelines, bridging the gap between complex sources and powerful Lakehouse insights.

  • End-to-End Responsibility: You oversee data quality, security, and performance optimization (ETL/ELT) across various client projects.

  • Technical Advisory: You serve as the strategic sparring partner for clients looking to transform their data landscape using Databricks.

Do you have what it takes?

Hard skills

  • Architectural Mindset: Deep knowledge of SQL and Python, with a proven track record in Data Warehouse and Lakehouse projects.

  • Azure Specialist: You are well-versed in Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, and Function Apps. You know exactly how to optimize Databricks configurations within the Azure ecosystem.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in SQL and Data Warehousing (including at least 3 years at a senior level). Experience with dbt is a nice-to-have.

  • Databricks Expertise: At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks.

Soft skills

  • Mentor: You possess the seniority and communication skills to coach a team and document technical specifications clearly.

  • Analytical & Pragmatic: You have an eye for detail without ever losing sight of the solution’s scalability.
