Front-end developer (React & React Native)

Your role at ACA

As a Front-end Developer at ACA, you will work in an agile team on the development of new business applications and mobile enterprise apps, or you will enhance existing solutions. You will translate functional analyses into sustainable technical implementations with a strong focus on user experience. You will contribute to architecture, UX, and technical improvements, and take the initiative to optimize development processes.

Ready to help build an advanced access control system?
You will develop a responsive web portal and a native mobile app for both Android and iOS. You’ll implement secure access methods such as QR scans with dynamic PINs for frequent visitors and QR codes for occasional visitors at kiosks. At the core is a seamless and secure onboarding process, including phone, ID, and facial verification. This project places a strong emphasis on robust security, including integration with external safety systems.

Your role at ACA

  • Developing high-performance, user-friendly web and mobile applications in React and React Native.

  • Technically analyzing and designing new features or applications.

  • Translating functional requirements into high-quality solutions.

  • Contributing to mobile architecture, design, and UX.

  • Staying up-to-date with technological trends and translating them into practical applications.

  • Collaborating in an agile environment with a focus on DevOps, security, and cloud integration.

For this position, we are open to both permanent (payroll) and freelance candidates. Furthermore, you are expected to work 2 days a week in Ghent, combined with the option to work from home 3 days a week.

Do you have what it takes?

Hard skills

  • Several years of experience in front-end development with React and React Native.
  • In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Experience with mobile development (native or hybrid) and API integrations.
  • You have an eye for design and user interface.
  • You are familiar with Agile methodologies.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.

  • Fluent in Dutch and a good command of English.

Soft skills

  • You are analytical, critical, and have a keen eye for detail.
  • You are eager to learn, independent, and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You are a clear and positive communicator.
  • You contribute your thoughts on architecture, UX, maintainability, and performance.
  • You are creative, proactive, and solution-oriented.
