- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of proven, hands-on experience as a Liferay Developer.
- In-depth knowledge of Liferay DXP (version 7.2 or higher), including the development of custom portlets, theming, workflows, permissions, client extensions, objects, and service builder.
- Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks such as Spring (Boot), JPA/Hibernate, JSP/Servlets, and integration with REST/SOAP APIs.
- Solid experience with JavaScript (AJAX, jQuery, TypeScript, Angular or React), HTML, and CSS.
- Skilled in SQL, Tomcat, and build tools such as Maven and Gradle.

Excellent communication skills in English and/or Dutch.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Liferay upgrade/migration projects.
- Certified Liferay Developer.
- Familiarity with OSGi and modular development within Liferay.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and general security concepts.
- Experience with Liferay PaaS or SaaS is a plus!
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, Extreme Programming (XP), or Test-Driven Development (TDD).
