Your role at ACA

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be part of our Java Competence Center. You are an essential part of our dynamic team, driven by innovation and building high-quality and sustainable solutions.

You will get the opportunity to apply your creativity and knowledge within new and challenging projects, where a tailored solution is developed from start to finish based on the client's information. Within the team, you can effectively make a difference by contributing to various aspects such as developing a technical solution based on the latest trends in your field, striving for high quality, and creating a sustainable solution.

We also offer you the opportunity to further develop your hard and soft skills, with the support of a coach. And you will get the chance to help shape the future of our Competence Center by keeping up with the latest trends in your field.

Do you have what it takes?

Hard skills

Do the following statements apply to you? Then you are probably the person we are looking for!

  • You can apply OO principles and design patterns, and Java, microservices, and APIs hold no major secrets for you.
  • You are creative and have a strong sense of responsibility. You are not afraid to take initiative to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • You analyze problems/functionalities with a comprehensive approach and manage the application architecture to keep it maintainable, secure, and performant.
  • Communication skills are essential: you can express yourself well in both Dutch and English.
  • You preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Additionally, you are proficient in one or more of the following skills:

  • React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Domain Driven Design (DDD)
  • Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, Axion,...
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Docker
  • General concept of Secure Development
  • Continuous Integration (Maven, Git, Jenkins)
  • Agile
  • Pair Programming

Soft skills

  • Team player: Together with a team of developers, architects, analysts, and project managers, you want to deliver great software solutions to our clients.
  • Analytical and critical mindset: You won't rest until you have found a working solution for that one crucial problem.
  • Innovative mindset: By using the latest tools and technologies, you can develop highly scalable and reliable applications.
  • Flexible: The combination of working from home and working from one of our ACA offices is possible, and traveling to a client does not deter you.
