PSCI selects ACA Group for important international project in pharmaceutical sector
ACA Group is proud to announce its selection for a significant project by the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI), a global collaboration of leading pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, etc. ACA will be developing a new website and community platform to enhance collaboration and information-sharing among PSCI members. This project marks a key milestone in ACA Group's international growth.
What is the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI)?
The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is a leading collaboration of companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. PSCI is committed to promoting high standards in ethics, labor, health and safety, environmental responsibility, and management practices across the pharmaceutical supply chain (ESG). Members, including influential companies like Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, BASF, AstraZeneca, etc, work together to ensure compliance with these standards through audits, self-assessments, and shared information.
New website and community platform for PSCI members
The project has two key components. First, ACA will develop a new public-facing website to replace the current one (https://pscinitiative.org). Second, PSCI and ACA Group will collaborate to create a new portal for PSCI member companies. This community platform will serve as a comprehensive knowledge hub, enabling members to share information on regulations, events, suppliers, news, best practices, and more.
Through this initiative, PSCI aims to improve information dissemination, foster collaboration, and ultimately build a more sustainable supply chain.
ACA chosen as strategic partner amid strong international
competition
The initial discussions began in early 2024 when the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative was in search of a partner to develop their new platform. ACA Group stood out due to its experience with similar projects. However, securing this prestigious project was not easy. ACA faced stiff competition from international providers, including companies from Canada, France, and the United States, where PSCI’s headquarters is located. Despite this, ACA Group emerged as the preferred partner.
Focus on customer centricity and strategic collaboration
The project officially kicked off in November 2024. “We’ll sit down with the client to further refine the platform requirements”, says Tom Claus, Business Unit Manager at ACA Group. “We’re planning to spend about two months gathering the goals & objectives and in alignment with the strategy of PSCI, to consolidate the needs of every stakeholder.”
By early 2025, the scope will be finalized, and development will begin. ACA Group will also take ample time for thorough validation and user testing with all potential user profiles, from managers to everyday users.
“Our goal is to involve the client as much as possible throughout the development process”, Tom adds. “We’re putting more and more emphasis on customer centricity because we’ve seen how it positively impacts both the final product and client satisfaction.”
Expanding beyond Belgium
The partnership with the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative marks a significant milestone for ACA Group. Not only is this one of ACA’s largest Liferay projects for the coming year, but it’s also a crucial step in our expansion beyond Belgium’s borders. This aligns with our ambition to continue pushing toward new goals and collaborations with clients worldwide.
