The road to digital innovation: ACA Group looks Back at Trefdag Vlaanderen Digitaal 2025
23 October 2025 – This year’s Trefdag Vlaanderen Digitaal felt like a snapshot of the future.
Over 4,000 people came together around a single ambition: building a government that’s smarter, more human, and faster.

ACA Group was right at the heart of it - together with our partners Liferay (our trusted digital experience partner) and OutSystems (our strategic low-code partner) - where conversations about digital innovation flowed as naturally as the espressos at our coffee bar.
For those who couldn’t make it (or want to relive the day), here are some of our highlights.
From data to action with the UiTwisselingsplatform
One of the biggest challenges in the public sector? There’s plenty of data, but it’s often scattered, unstructured, and hard to use.
During their talk, our colleague Peter Jans and Sven Houtmeyers (publiq vzw) filled the room with one central question: “How can we turn a fragmented data landscape in the culture and youth sector into a solid foundation for policy and innovation?”

Through the UiTwisselingsplatform, they demonstrated how this solution is already delivering data-driven results for the Department of Culture, Youth and Media. It’s an architecture that not only connects data, but also brings people and policy closer together.
What used to be a collection of isolated data sources has now become a shared language, one that decisions can rely on.
A tangible example of how Flanders is moving from data to action.
AI bringing order to data chaos
You couldn’t miss it: AI was everywhere at Trefdag. And rightfully so. It’s no longer a distant promise, it’s the tool driving acceleration today.
For many organizations, the biggest roadblock to innovation is that crucial data remains unstructured, locked away in PDFs, reports, scans, or handwritten notes.
With AI, we can finally tackle that data chaos, structuring information and turning it into actionable insights. That not only makes processes smarter, but also frees people to focus on what really matters: creative, human-centered work that makes services more effective.
The common thread: technology for and by people
Trefdag Vlaanderen Digitaal made one thing crystal clear: the government of tomorrow is built on collaboration, knowledge, and technology that works for people.
And that’s exactly what drives us at ACA Group, making technology work as it was always meant to, in service of people, policy, and society.
Because it’s there, between data and dialogue, that meaningful, lasting innovation takes root.
