Young talents get hands-on with Opencode during our AI Hackaton
On July 22, 2026, our Young Talent Network held an AI Hackathon, guided by Tim Lefever and Maxime Detollenaere. Our young talents had ninety minutes to work with Opencode and design MCPs and see firsthand what these tools can do.
What the Young Talent Network is about
The Young Talent Network brings our young talents together to explore new tools, gain knowledge, and learn from each other. Yesterday's AI Hackathon was a good example of that in action: an afternoon where everyone could experience what Opencode and design MCPs mean in practice.

The hackathon
Every team started from the same base: a standard pokédex app. From there, they had ninety minutes to build their own version. Some teams built a battleground, others went for a pokémon soulmate concept, and one team combined pokémon with Greek mythology.
Once the ninety minutes were up, each team presented their vibe-coded app to the group, followed by a vote to decide the winner of the day. The goal of the hackathon was straightforward: get our young talents comfortable with Opencode and design MCPs, lower the barrier to using them, and show what's possible once you start experimenting.

We're already looking forward to the next Young Talent Network edition.
