Why use a Digital Twin?

Applications of a Digital Twin

As IoT devices grow, so does the power of real-time digital models. The most simple representation of a Digital Twin consists of a dashboard or 2D model, but in a later phase 3D presentations and even applications with Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) are also possible.

💡 Example: 
With AR, engineers from a gas company can immediately see where a pipeline is going, what is going on, and what needs to be done to resolve a problem efficiently. This saves time, cuts costs, and improves safety.

Real-life impact: Health Empower App for IDEWE

Together with Group IDEWE, we created the Health Empower app. This app enables users to monitor and improve their health with personalized coaching and data insights. This project is just one example of how digital models and smart data use can transform industries.

Group IDEWE, a provider of workplace health and wellbeing services, aimed to improve employee health management but needed a scalable digital solution for personalized guidance. In collaboration with KU Leuven, a mobile app was developed using data-driven algorithms to deliver tailored health advice. This digital health solution empowers users to manage their wellbeing, increases engagement, and supports preventive healthcare through personalized, data-based insights.
